Made by us:
At Opal Art Global we specialize in cutting Queensland Boulder Opal.
That is to say, we only cut and polish raw boulder opal.
We travel out to the opal fields several times a year to buy parcels of rough boulder opal direct from the mines in central Queensland.
See where opal is found here:
We got our start in the opal industry in 1982 and have been buying, cutting and selling boulder opal ever since.
We transport the rough boulder opal we get from the mines in 44 gallon drums, back to our workshop on the coast, where it is processed into the range of products you see in the store.
Every piece of boulder opal we cut is unique in its own right.
To protect the opal and promote longevity, this boulder opal has been finished with a polytop (a polymer seal).
